In a recent analysis of the DFCI gBRCA cohort, the authors reported a frequency of CNS metastasis (including parenchymal and leptomeningeal disease) among patients with recurrent breast cancer of 16/30 (53%) in gBRCA1 patients, 16/32 (50%) in gBRCA2 patients, and 67/270 (25%) in noncarriers (including all breast tumor subtypes, >50% HR+/HER2-negative)10. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast cancer.
