The expression of PTEN (52), CD45 (53), PTPROt (54), PHLPP1 (55, 56), PP2A (57), and SHIP1 (58) are significantly decreased in CLL cells, whereas PTPN22, which acts as a positive regulator of anti-apoptotic signals by hampering the negative regulation of B-cell receptor-dependent signaling pathways, is overexpressed (59). This evidence concerns the gene PTPA and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
