Similar to our previous study (Pin et al., 2019a), the levels of LDL-receptor (LDL-R) were increased in the muscle of cachectic hosts (+10%, p < 0.05; Figure 5A), in line with the elevated intramuscular fat accumulation, as measured by Oil Red-O in the tibialis anterior transversal sections from C26 tumor-bearing mice (Figure 5B). This evidence concerns the gene LDLR and neoplasm.
