With evidence that the hypersecretion of IL-6, TNF, and TGF-β scaffolds cascades that promote evasion of immunosurveillance by glioma cells, it is speculated that the development of new therapeutic approaches that combine radiotherapy/chemotherapy and immunotherapy might circumvent immunosurveillance evasion and help target glioma progression effectively. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and central nervous system cancer.
