GFA (6 and 12 mg/kg, intragastrically administrated for four days) shortened the duration of atrial fibrillation in calcium chlorine-acetylcholine model rats, prolonged the effective refractory period, reduced the expression of NADPH oxidase-related subunits, and promoted the communication junction protein expression (connexin 40). Here, GJA5 is linked to atrial fibrillation.
