In another study, Chen et al. (2016) demonstrated that BACE1-AS is responsible for antiproliferative and anti-invasive effects of anisomycin on ovarian cancer cells, while its knockdown ameliorates the chemotherapy-associated tumor suppressor effects and so concluded that BACE1-AS is a target for anisomycin in suppression of cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Here, BACE1 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
