Crotepoxide inhibited the expression of tumour necrosis factor (TNF) regulated gene products involved in anti-apoptosis such as Bcl-2, Bcl-XL, cyclin D1, Cox-2, Bax, Bid, c-Myc, MMP-9 and VEFG, etc. Furthermore, crotepoxide also inhibited the tumours by preventing the activation of genes that are involved in tumorigenesis at gene levels (Alonso-Amelot 2016). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is neoplasm.
