To further explore the role of the Notch pathway in cardioprotection conferred by Nogo-B in vivo, AAV-Nogo-B and AAV-NC were injected in Notch1-EC+/− and WT mice hearts 4 weeks before MI and the survival rate (Fig. 8B), cardiac function (Fig. 8C), scar size (Fig. 8D), apoptosis of cardiomyocytes (Fig. 8E), and angiogenesis (Fig. 8F) were assessed after MI.
