Although it was not possible to directly compare the effects on PM10 and PM2.5, our results showed that KDP20 exposure for 10 days significantly increased the expression of immune biomarkers IL-33, TSLP, TNF-α, and IL-8 in the nasopharynx tissue, suggesting that PM represents a causative agent of rhinitis in animals. The gene discussed is CXCL8; the disease is rhinitis.
