IPA suggested four upstream regulators that could be linked to glucose intolerance: interleukin 6 (IL6), tuberous sclerosis complex 2 (Tsc2), peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-beta (Ppargc1b), and lysine (K)-specific histone demethylase 1A (Kdm1a) (S3 Fig).
