NOP2 has been found to be upregulated in several cancer types, including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) (Saijo et al., 2001), leukemia (Cheng et al., 2018a), breast-invasive carcinoma (BRCA) (Freeman et al., 1991), and prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD) (Bantis et al., 2004), and, therefore, considered to be a predictive cancer marker.
