Emerging research suggests that NOP2 is a multifunctional protein, which plays an important role in RNA modification and maturation (Xue et al., 2020), tumor invasiveness (Kosi et al., 2015), cell cycle progression (Hong et al., 2016), chromatin organization (Cheng et al., 2018b), and HIV latency (Kong et al., 2020).
