Immunofluorescence signals for WT FXYD3 in MCF-7 cells partly overlap with signals for Na+/K+-ATPase α subunits (8), and a mostly perinuclear distribution of the β1 Na+/K+-ATPase subunits in cancer cells is also reported with the development of some colorectal cancers (22).
