Sixty-seven gene families were discovered to be involved in the control of iron deficiency stress by examining differentially expressed transcription factors, including the WRKY, MYB, AP2/ERF-ERF, bHLH, NAC, C2H2, bZIP, HB-HD-ZIP, and GARP-G2-like families (Supplementary Figure 2).
