Real-time PCR results showed that the mRNA expressions of NDUFB8 and ATP5j genes in the PCOS model group rats were significantly decreased compared with the control group rats (P < 0.05), whilst the mRNA expressions of other genes including SDHB, ATP5h, ATP5a1, Opa1, UQCRC2, COXII, NDUFV2 and Mfn1 were not obviously different between two groups (P > 0.05) (Figure 3A). The gene discussed is OPA1; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
