CRP and cardiac hypertrophy: CRP protected against pathological cardiac hypertrophy is induced by Ang II stimulation in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (Ni et al., 2020), while the active monomer nobiletin isolated from CRP might be the major factor in attenuating the adverse cardiac remodeling via anti-inflammatory (Bunbupha et al., 2020) and antiapoptotic functions (Amarsanaa et al., 2021) similarly via activating PPARγ and PGC1α (Zhou et al., 2021).
