Further research into ALK-TKIs revealed mutations of the ALK gene in other types of tumors, and the use of ALK inhibitors may produce good efficacy, for example, in anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (Mossé et al., 2013) and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (Butrynski et al., 2010).
