Interestingly EGFR mutant lung cancer with concomitant RB1/TP53 alterations are more likely to undergo neuroendocrine transformation to a small cell lung cancer-like disease, analogous to the neuroendocrine transdifferentiation observed in prostate cancer (Quintanal-Villalonga et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene RB1 and Familial prostate cancer.
