Notably, we found that there is a statistically significant anti-correlation between SMARCA4 (BRG1) mRNA expression levels and those of the immunoproteasome encoding genes in lung cancer samples (Fig. 7e–I and Supplementary Table 1), suggesting that loss of BRG1 leads to upregulation of immunoproteasome gene expression in cancer. The gene discussed is SMARCA4; the disease is lung carcinoma.
