Moreover, elevated γ-BB levels (Q4) remained an independent predictor even after adjustments for traditional cardiac risk factors (age, sex, smoking, SBP, diabetes, LDL, and HDL) (adjusted model 1) (HR, 2.66; 95% CI: 1.91–3.72; P < 0.001) and eGFR with NTproBNP levels (adjusted model 2) (HR, 1.78; 95% CI: 1.03–3.05; P = 0.037) (Supplementary Fig. 5c).
