As a result, the FDA has recently approved 3 autologous anti-CD19 CAR T cell therapies: tisagenlecleucel (Kymriah, Novartis) for treating pediatric and adolescent (age 25 or under) B-ALL and adult DLBCL; axicabtagene ciloleucel (Yescarta, Gilead) for treating DLBCL, NHL, and FL; and brexucabtagene autoleucel (Tecartus, Gilead) for treating adult relapsed or refractory (r/r) MCL [1–6, 8–19, 26–28]. The gene discussed is CD19; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
