Further study showed that apigenin can preferably bind IKKα over IKKβ, leading to the inactivation of NF-κB in PC-3 and 22Rv1 cells, providing convincing evidence that apigenin suppressed PCa progression by targeting the IKK/NF-κB pathway (Shukla et al., 2014a). The gene discussed is CHUK; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
