Compared with untreated lung cancer patients, it was found that the transcriptional levels of HERV-K (HML-2) genes decreased in lung cancer patients treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, while the transcriptional levels of HERV-K (HML-2) in chemotherapy with radiotherapy group tended to be close to that of healthy controls, suggesting that combination therapy is more beneficial to reduce the expression of HERV-K (HML-2) genes. The gene discussed is CLEC10A; the disease is lung carcinoma.
