Lin et al. (2011) reported that CRNDE is expressed during the neural differentiation of human-induced pluripotent stem cells and that CRNDE regulates glioma development by promoting inflammation (Thermozier et al., 2020). CRNDE upregulation triggers WI-38 cell injury, significantly inhibits cell viability, and increases cytokine levels, which leads to the induction of inflammation and apoptosis (Yang Y. P. et al., 2018). The gene discussed is CRNDE; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
