HMOX1 and steatosis: Coconut vinegar modified oxidation which was due to its biological antioxidant capacity, rather than contributing to the increase of the defensive mechanism of an endogenous antioxidant enzyme, such as the major ARE-antioxidant enzyme and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) (52), suggested that daily coconut vinegar supplementation exerted an antioxidative efficiency on steatosis and atherogenic dyslipidemia, which served as a potential therapeutic targeting on lipid peroxidation.
