Although no significant impact of Prp19 on the proliferation of HCC cells was observed in vitro, we found that repression of Prp19 in HCC cells facilitated tumor growth in vivo. It was demonstrated that the secretion of the interleukins IL-6, IL-8, and CXCL-1 increased oncogene-induced growth arrest caused by Ras and Braf [25, 26]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and neoplasm.
