The recommended parameters are the following: - LV mass index (≥95 g/m2 for female, ≥115 g/m2 for male); - Relative wall thickness (>0.42); - LA volume index (>34 mL/m2 for patients in sinus rhythm, >40 mL/m2 for patients in atrial fibrillation); - E/e' ratio at rest (>9); - NPs blood concentration (NT-proBNP >125 pg/mL or BNP >35 pg/mL in case of sinus rhythm; NT-proBNP >365 pg/mL or BNP >105 pg/mL in case of atrial fibrillation); - PA systolic pressure (>35 mmHg); - TR velocity at rest (>2.8 m/s). The probability of HFpEF proportionally increases with the number of the parameters. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and atrial fibrillation.
