In the present study, we discovered that AKIP1 positively regulated the HIF-1α and β-catenin pathways in gastric cancer cells under hypoxia, and both HIF-1α and β-catenin overexpressions could diminish the effects of AKIP1 on gastric cancer cell invasion and stemness under hypoxia, which has provided some more possible explanations to the function of AKIP1 in gastric cancer. Here, AKIP1 is linked to gastric cancer.
