We identified differential methylation of genes that have been related to cancers such as lymphoma (WNT6, TP73, and CD37) [33, 34], leukaemia (MEIS1, HOXA4, and HOXA5) [35, 36] or neuroblastoma (TP73) [37], as well as genes related to cardiovascular diseases (UCN, PRDM16, TCAP, ALOX5) [38–41]. This evidence concerns the gene PRDM16 and lymphoma.
