Ubellacker et al. found that a high level of ferroptosis inhibitor glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) may be the reason for the earlier lymphatic metastasis of melanoma, but interestingly it appears also not in the metastasis-related gene signature constructed by Garg et al. Whether the genes or ferroptosis-related genes in our signature are related to the risk of metastasis is the focus of our next work and research. Here, GPX4 is linked to melanoma.
