A randomised trial comparing transdermal and oral 17β-oestradiol and oral-conjugated oestrogen therapy in adolescents with ovarian failure did not show differences in fibrinogen and antithrombin activity, glucose and insulin, liver enzymes activity, lipids concentration, plasma renin, as well as IGFBP3 and IGF1 levels (105). Here, IGF1 is linked to ovarian dysfunction.
