CHRNA7 and psoriasis: In contrast, administration of the α7nAChR antagonist Methyllycaconitine citrate exacerbated the disease by activating the STAT3 signaling pathway, increasing the abnormal proliferation and differentiation of skin keratinocytes in a psoriatic mouse model, indicating that α7nAChR activation is indeed providing critical immune protection in psoriasis-induced cutaneous inflammation.
