Examination of TET gene expression in breast cancer patients revealed that although TET3 mRNA levels were higher in tumors and positively correlated with tumor progression, both TET1 and TET2 expression were diminished in tumor cells, and TET2 expression decreased with tumor progression more significantly than TET1 (Figs 1A and B and S1A). The gene discussed is TET3; the disease is breast carcinoma.
