IL6 and COVID-19: The same parameters showed a weaker power to predict the risk of death from COVID-19 when comparing all survivors, including severe survivors, versus deceased patients, with the exception of serum IL-6 levels, in both male and female patients (OR 4.45, 95% CI 2.14 to 10.71 and AUC of ROC 0.7189, p = 0.0002 for males; and females had OR 4.21 and AUC of ROC 0.7123, p = 0.0014) (Fig. 2B, D).
