The result indicated that the overall survival time of ESCC patients with positive SIRT1 expression was significantly lower than that in patients with negative SIRT1 expression after surgery (HR = 1.92, 95% CI: 1.52–2.44), and the difference was statistically significant (Z = 5.43, P < 0.05) (Figure 7), suggesting that SIRT1 is closely related to the prognosis of ESCC. This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
