In contrast to the conclusions reported above, our current research has found a new phenomenon in which HNK regulates HIF-1α in breast cancer cells, that is, HNK has no obvious effect on the mRNA level of HIF-1α in breast cancer cells, but can significantly reduce the protein level of HIF-1α in cancer cells; that is, it can regulate the stability of translated HIF-1α protein. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and breast carcinoma.
