In leukemia, FTO promoted the proliferation of AML cells by reducing m6A levels at the 3′-UTR of Asb2 and 3′ and 5′-UTR of Rara, two mediators of hematopoiesis and differentiation, resulting in decreased ASB2 and RARA protein expression (Li Z. et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene FTO and acute myeloid leukemia.
