Studies in breast cancer have found that Ovol2 inhibits EMT by direct transcriptional inhibition of ZEB1 expression [18], and studies in liver cancer have shown that Ovol2 inhibits EMT by indirectly promoting miR-200 expression [19], and that targeting TRPV1 can inhibit EMT by affecting the Ovol2-zeb1 axis [20]. This evidence concerns the gene OVOL2 and breast cancer.
