Apart from the MAS-like picture, in various studies, in patients with acute or recent evidence of SARS-COV-2 infection, severe inflammation (e.g. CRP, ferritin, D-dimer, elevated cardiac and liver enzymes) and one or more extrapulmonary organ dysfunctions have been reported and this clinical picture is defined as "multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults" (MIS-A) [14].
