Each 5% higher methylation level of targets PRDM6_4, LRRC10B_1 and SYT7_1 was associated with a 64% (adjusted OR = 0.36, 95% CI: 0.30–0.43), 51% (adjusted OR = 0.49, 95% CI: 0.41–0.58) and 71% (adjusted OR = 0.29, 95% CI: 0.25–0.34) decreased risk for ischemic stroke, respectively (Table 2). The gene discussed is SYT7; the disease is ischemic stroke.
