HNF4A and liver cancer: HNF4α not only is a master regulator of hepatic lineage differentiation and hepatic function maintenance, but a previous report also indicated that ectopic expression of HNF4α alone can induce differentiation of liver cancer cells.[11] Under the treatment of SCVZA for 14 days, treated HepG2 cells exhibited profound morphological changes, increased HNF4α expressions and reduced colony formations (Figure S1A–C, Supporting Information).
