INPP5A and cervical carcinoma: For example, in comparison with that in normal cervical epithelial cells, i.e., End1/E6E7, the expression of miR-181a-5p was remarkably upregulated in cervical cancer cell lines (HeLa and SiHa), while inhibition of miR-181a-5p upregulates the expression of Inositol Polyphosphate-5-Phosphatase A (INPP5A), thereby markedly reducing the proliferation and invasion of cervical cancer cells.14
