LARS1 and inflammatory bowel disease: Innate immune responses are provoked by the recognition of bacterial pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) by the host pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) present on leukocytes, including Toll-like receptors (TLRs), NOD-like receptors (NLR), and C-type lectin receptors (CLRs), which form the proinflammatory response that is thought to be the pathogenic basis of IBD [115].
