Quercetin, a plant polyphenol abundantly found in many vegetables and fruits [31,32], up- and downregulates relevant pathways in the context of CRC, such as Wnt/β-catenin, PI3K/AKT/mTOR, MAPK/Erk, MAPK/JNK, MAPK/p38, p-53, and NF-κB signalling cascades [58,59,60,61]. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
