Interestingly, many spots in our spatial transcriptomic data, which highly express Cxcl1, Ccl2, or Icam1, were co-localised with, or in close proximity to, the periphery of the cavernomas (Fig. 2B, examples of positive spots indicated by white arrowheads, and lesions outlined by greenish-blue lines). This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and cavernous hemangioma.
