PSEN1 and Alzheimer disease: There have been reports of both neutrophil infiltration [10, 11] and vascular localisation [12, 13], and recent studies have indicated that neutrophil plugging of capillaries reduces cerebral blood flow in both the APP/PS1 and 5XFAD models of AD to drive cognitive deficits [12, 13], although the localisation of neutrophils in human Alzheimer brains has not been analysed in any detail.
