The comparison of ACPA-positive RA patients with healthy controls revealed activation of the coagulation system (p = 3.54 × 10−08), the intrinsic prothrombin activation pathway (p = 4.89 × 10−06), the extrinsic prothrombin activation pathway (p = 5.01 × 10−10) and acute phase response signalling (p = 5.01 × 10−11); and inhibition of the LXR/RXR pathway (p = 1.99 × 10−14) and production of NO and ROS in macrophages (p = 0.001) (Figure 5C). The gene discussed is PRTN3; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
