Noting that CCL1 administration induced mechanical and thermal hypersensitivity in naïve mice and that CCL1 levels in spinal neurons increased 7 days after streptozotocin (STZ) injection, Zychowska et al. [251] demonstrated that CCL1-neutralizing antibody administration reduces pain and improves the efficacy of morphine and buprenorphine in the STZ-diabetic neuropathy model. Here, CCL1 is linked to diabetic neuropathy.
