CRP and diabetes mellitus: Compared with the patients in the control group, those in the high AS group were older (p = 0.001), had longer PD vintage (p = 0.024), and had higher serum levels of CRP (p = 0.005) and OPN (p < 0.001), but had a similar proportion of men and women, PD model, BMI, frequency of coexisting DM and HTN, adequacy of dialysis, and medications used, including the usage of calcium carbonate, calcitriol, and Icodextrin.
