Adenomyosis has also been found in the uterine horns of some transgenic mice, such as Dicer inactivated mutant mice, follicular stimulating hormone (FSH) receptor (FSHR)-haplo-insufficient mice, Foxl2 deleted mice, and mice with impaired prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) synthesis [92,93,94,204].
