In all tested oxygen and glucose concentration level conditions, WWOX silencing resulted in increasing of the expression level of HIF1A (1.9-fold for normoxia normoglycemia, p < 0.05; 1.9 for normoxia hyperglycemia, p > 0.05; 1.5-fold for hypoxia normoglycemia, p < 0.05 and 1.9-fold for hypoxia hyperglycemia conditions, p > 0.05) and examined genes associated with glucose transport (SLC2A1, SLC2A4) and glycolysis (HK2, ENO1, PKM2, PDK). This evidence concerns the gene PKM and Hyperglycemia.
